Dr. James Henderson, Scantron Senior Psychometrician, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (ICE). This award is periodically presented in recognition of long-standing, extraordinary contributions to the credentialing industry.
Since 1999, the ICE has recognized nine individuals, including Dr. Henderson, with this prestigious award. This honor recognizes individuals whose vision, efforts, and commitment to credentialing have advanced the credentialing profession. As a leading developer of standards for certification and certificate programs as well as a clearing house for information and trends relating to the industry, ICE exists so that best practices in credentialing serve employers, professions, occupations, and the public.

Dr. Henderson is one of the nation’s leading experts on quality licensure and certification testing. During his nearly three decades of expertise, he has worked on the development and implementation of credentialing examinations for organizations such as the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), the American Board of Orthodontics (AB), the Board Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC), and the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
