Michigan Department of Health and Human Services-Bureau of EMS, Trauma, and Preparedness

The Bureau of EMS, Trauma & Preparedness is responsible for the licensing of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor Coordinators, who wish to provide educational content to EMS providers in the State of Michigan.
How To Register

To be eligible to test, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Have 3+ years of EMS field experience providing direct patient care at the license level being applied for, with a licensed Michigan life support agency;
  • Currently licensed as an EMS provider in Michigan at or above the instructor coordinator level being applied for

Login to the Michigan EMS eLicensing Portal and complete the “Instructor/Coordinator Initial Licensure Application”.
